Ozone oxidation systems for water treatment applications for industrial, commercial, aquaculture and municipal uses
The ozone generator works in conjunction with the foam fractionator. Foam Fractionation (FF), or Protein Skimming (PS), provides continuous removal of organic wastes from solution while at the same time providing disinfections via coliform removal. This is achieved through adsorption, coagulation and micro flocculation of suspended particles. With the addition of small doses of ozone, organics removal and disinfection is improved. The resulting benefits are increased pH, increased dissolved oxygen, increased redox potential, improved water clarity and a reduction in the dependency on sand filters.

Control and efficient dosing of ozone
The ORP controller serves to manage the dosing of ozone within the fractionation process. A basic and important component of the ORP controller is the ozone flow meter. The accuracy of the flow meter size is important for the successful operation of the fractionator. The protein skimmer collects suspended particles and organics in solution through adsorption to bubble surfaces where they will be carried out of the foam chimney. Fractionators operate well with no ozone, so a small amount of ozone only enhances the processes of adsorption and micro flocculation achieved at the air-water interface.
If a high dose of ozone is applied into a fractionator, the processes of adsorption and micro flocculation are inhibited. High doses of ozone tear apart organic molecules resulting in very poor foam production and poor removal of organic materials.
