In the aquarium the plant should be planted in groups to get the best effect. Bacopa caroliniana can be propagated easily by cuttings but the flowers do not seem to set seed easily. In an open aquarium the plants will grow through the surface easily.

This is an aquatic emergent plant. Bacopa is an emersed plant. This small sprawling herb is common in fresh and brackish waters.
